Search engine for Equidistant Letter Sequences
Enter a Hebrew term — or type it as it sounds on your regular keyboard (e.g. mashiach) and we will suggest the Hebrew word — and discover where it appears as an equidistant sequence in the Hebrew text of the Tanakh.
Torah: Koren edition — 304,805 letters verified against the text of classic ELS research · Public methodologyWhat are the Torah codes?
A word that appears when reading the text taking one letter every fixed number of positions — the "skip". Example: from the first ת of Genesis, every 50 letters, you spell תורה.
The engine walks the letters of the text (no spaces, vowels or accents) and tries every starting position with every skip in the chosen range, in both directions.
That the sequence exists in the text, exactly where, and at which skip — an objective fact anyone can verify.
Meaning or prophecy: any long text contains millions of ELS by pure chance. The serious question is statistical.
